Who we are

South Bucks Windows (“we”, “us”) is a family run window and door installer based at Unit B, Beamond End Ranch Farm, Beamond End, Amersham, HP7 0QT. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, by phone or by email.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our quote form we collect:

• your name, email address and postcode
• your phone number, if you give it
• the products you are interested in and anything you tell us about your project
• the page you sent the form from, and if you arrived from an advert, the campaign name

If you go on to become a customer, we also keep the details we need to survey, quote for, install and guarantee your windows or doors, such as your address and the work carried out.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange a survey or quote
• to carry out and guarantee any work you ask us to do
• to register installations with FENSA, as building regulations require

We do not sell your information, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

Our legal basis

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we use your details because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract (giving you a quote), to perform that contract if you go ahead, and to meet our legal obligations, such as FENSA registration.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted services to run this website:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and processes the form when you press send.
• Resend delivers the email containing your enquiry to us, and the confirmation email to you.

These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If you become a customer, we share the details needed for FENSA registration with FENSA, and may share them with the manufacturer of your products for guarantee purposes.

How long we keep it

If you make an enquiry but don't go ahead, we delete your details within two years. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as your guarantee lasts, plus a short period afterwards, so we can honour it and answer any questions about the work.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from spam and attacks.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• ask us to delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law
• object to or ask us to limit how we use it

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you do.
